Punches, Punching Strips and Lace Corner Edgers

Family Treasures makes an exclusive line of Lace Corner Punches. These punches are a very popular item and are available from Family Treasures directly or through a number of retailers and even direct sales companies, such as DOTS.

If you take a butter knife from your kitchen and use it to remove the paper guides from the punch. The punch can then be used to make a nice lace edging. When you are done it looks like this.

Step by step instructions:

  1. Get SNAPZ punching strips in desired colors or use regular paper.
  2. Place a strip of Photo Tape on the punching strip.
  3. Remove the paper guides from the lace edge punch

  4. Place the punch upside down on your table, this helps you line up the punches..
  5. Insert the punching strip and start punching at one edge of the paper.
  6. Use the cut away area of the punch to line up your punches so that a small portion overlaps.
  7. Continue punching until you come to the end of the paper.
  8. Adhere to a page or to another punching strip for the effect above.

Four strips could be used to mat a photo or this border can be used to frame a page.

Punches and punching strips can be used for a number of quick and cute techniques. My thanks to Family Treasures who provided the SNAPZ punching strips and Family Treasures punches for this project.
